Collection agency, employer overpayment, Canadian laws and credit protection? - credit protection laws
Hello Canada
I have told the agency for dealing with my past work, they have an overpayment of holiday pay at the end (approx. $ 250) receive. Now I really do not know whether it is really true.
Now I have a collection agent sends alerts by e-mail. I asked the representative to me with documents establishing the overpayment. I have to know is how the agent can threaten my credit for this. I have not signed anything as a debtor.
At what stage of the process, an agent can put in my case, bad credit, bad credit, come after a court decision? No agent, I'll take you all the documents on this overpayment? I've never been wrong, but I would be willing to repay the amount.
When I asked the agent, more proof of payment, made me aware that some "call the employer and get, I'm in this industry before you were born.
How can this on my credit card? When?
thnx

Legally they have to send your proof of purchase - this is the fault of collectors. It is your responsibility to prove that this debt.
Now you can test or was the test may be in written form required? There is a subtle difference. When you call (or respond when called), and only asked them to check, have no reason to do so, and you can always try to collect. If you require write, review, which has 30 days from the date of receipt of the letter for verification and mailing. While they are getting this check box can not contact you, either. Like I said, okay.
